Rough Edges

Many people think that once you do ‘professional’ marketing, everything unique will be smoothed away – no more rough edges, clean medium Pizza Margarita style.

Of course, one MIGHT do branding and marketing that way – but I would never recommend an SME owner to do so – it simply does not fit with the need to become visible in the market as a smaller player.

Rough edges help customers choose you.

On the contrary,

All your rough edges might make you and your company recognizable and loveable.

Think the Stones, Depeche Mode (ever had a look at their teeth in the 80s!?).

Well, what this is intended to say:

If you take care of your branding yourself, then dare to stay special – and when you decide to get support in doing this, try to find someone who helps you to stay true to who you and your company are. (and yes… that might be us! 🙂

We love to get entrepreneurs and their vision up and running :)).

As the owner of agency „OVERW8“ and building on more than 20 years experience in marketing, Kristin is consistently thinking along the terms of ‚customer value‘, ‚brand value‘ as well as business models. Consistently meaning when she’s out for dinner, sitting in a cosy ski hut as well as having a sundowner wine at a vineyard. Like this, it’s simple logic that her primary job now is to support entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial teams with this know-how to create more brand value, more customer value and thus more company value. She’s sharing some of these nuggets here on OVERW8’s blog.
